Add a device

Steps

  1. Download the Stellar Cam APP, open the Stellar Cam APP, register a new account and log in.
  2. Tap the button “Set Up Device” in the sidebar or on the home page, to enter the interface to add a new device.
  3. Select the default or input the device name.
  4. Install the device according to the video guide, then tap “Continue”.
  5. Wait until the device boots up and tap “Continue”. Please reset the device according to the video guide if the device dosen’t successfully boots up.

    Reset
    1. Keep pressing the function button on the top of the device and then release it until you hear “Restore factory settings, please don’t power off.”
    2. Wait for approximately 60 seconds. The device is successfully configured if you hear “Wait to be configured.”.
    3. Now the device indicator flashes slowly.

    The device in most cases is already reset after first boot-up. This means that the device is reset and ready for use if you hear “Wait to be configured.” and the indicator flashes slowly. You can skip the reset procedure.

  6. Please make sure that the device indicator flashes slowly and tap “YES”, otherwise please tap “NO” and proceed the reset.
  7. For iOS devices, please tap “choose” to enter the Wi-Fi settings. Select the desired Wi-Fi network and go back to Stellar Cam APP. For Android devices, please select the desired Wi-Fi in the drop-down list.

    Please use the Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz and deactivate the AP “isolation” function on the router. Otherwise it causes a network configuration failure.

    Please skip the step if the current Wi-Fi network is your desired one.

  8. Insert the password of the desired Wi-Fi network and tap “Continue”.
  9. The device starts the network configuration and the procedure takes approximately 60 seconds. The network configuration is successfully completed if the app displays “Successfully Connected”. Please tap “Retry” and repeat the procedure if the network configuration has failed.
